Meet Xerses!

Xerses is a stunning 4-year-old male German Shepherd with an impressive presence, weighing in at nearly 80 pounds. Xerses is highly motivated by both food and toys, making him a versatile and reliable dog. His obedience includes heel, sit, come, place, and stay.

Xerses is good with children, female dogs, and select males. He’s a confident, intelligent dog who enjoys having a job but also appreciates downtime with his people.

He has been professionally trained in narcotics detection (4 odors) and has successfully worked BSD walls, boxes, vehicles, bags, and open areas.

While he’s fully capable of serving in a professional role, Xerses would do equally well as a companion in an active home or family setting.

For those interested in continuing his working career, a CA POST Detection Course can be offered to certify him for law enforcement or private sector detection work.
